Grillo Climber Steep Slope Ride On Mowers

Mow Slopes and Long Grass Safely

When it comes to mowing flat lawns nearly all ride-on mowers are up to the task. That stuff is easy. Just pick the grass finish you want, the budget you have to spend and most will find a mower up to the task. But if your property is a little more challenging and you add in steep slopes, ridges, long grass, scrub and rough terrain then it's quite a different matter.

There are literally hundreds of different brands of ride-on mowers on the market, maybe you already own one, but there will be a Grillo Climber model that best suits your requirements. All Grillo Climbers will provide safe mowing options - but they are not all the same so it is important to choose the appropriate Climber for your acreage. Your Grillo Dealer will help in this regard.

Here is a story from a customer who started off with a "flat grass" ride on mower when he really needed a rough terrain ride on mower. The story highlights an important point...when it comes to mowing difficult terrain with steep slopes and long grass then the job's quite different compared to mowing a flat, short lawn.

What will a Grillo Steep Slope Mower do?

  • Mow safely up and down slopes of up to 30 degrees
  • Mow across 20 Degree slopes – even when difficult and slippery
  • For very steep gradients where traction or ground clearance prevents a problem: 10 series models control both short and up to even very tall grass on large, rough or steep areas
  • Choice of two 9 series models to control short or even very tall grass on large, rough or steep areas
  • For smaller properties there are two 7 series models for use where the conditions are not rough (where the ground is smoother) and where it's not so steep
Grillo Climbers work really well on both long and short grass. No longer are you or your family forced to frequently mow your property just to keep the grass from getting too long - and which your existing machine will find difficult to manage.

Now you can let it grow even over a meter high before you need to head out again - mow when you want to - not when tough conditions dictate!

Design & Performance

The Climber's unique design, with low center of gravity, central weight distribution, and differential locking capability will help you mow places you can't even take a tractor. Go up steep slopes and places you have never gone before and extend your mowing where previously it was impossible.

There are different Climber options designed to suit your block. Not everyone has a perfect backyard and a Climber will take care of very tall grass, weeds and brush. It's capable of flattening an overgrown section or those areas you can’t mow regularly. It will also help you reduce the fire risk on your property because now there is an effective way of cutting fire breaks. Deck and blade design is the secret in the aggressive and effective cutting system.  The Climber loses no power as it charges through long grass, leaving an even spread of cut grass in its wake.
